Terms of Service
Minneapolis Genetics, PLLC
Effective date: 4/26/2026 Last updated: 4/26/2026
The short version
Before we get to the formal language, here is what these terms actually say:
-
This document covers using our website. It does not replace the consent forms you sign as a patient.
-
You can read everything here, share links, and contact us. You cannot copy our content for commercial use, scrape the site, or impersonate us.
-
The information on this site is educational, not medical advice. Reading an article is not the same as being a patient.
-
If you book an appointment, the patient relationship begins with that booking and is governed by your patient agreements (Notice of Privacy Practices, Telehealth Informed Consent).
-
We can update these terms. We will note the date of any change.
If anything below is unclear, please email office@minneapolisgenetics.com.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website minneapolisgenetics.com (the "Site"), operated by Minneapolis Genetics, PLLC ("we," "us," "our," or "the Practice").
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
These Terms apply to website use only. Clinical services are governed by separate agreements you sign as a patient, including the Notice of Privacy Practices and Telehealth Informed Consent.
2. Who we are
Minneapolis Genetics, PLLC is a private telehealth genetic counseling practice based in Minnesota and operated by Vaish Subramani, MGC, LCGC. We provide genetic counseling services to patients located in the 14 jurisdictions listed in our footer.

3. Educational content, not medical advice
Everything on this Site (articles, FAQ entries, package descriptions, downloadable guides, and similar materials) is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
This content:
-
Is not medical advice
-
Is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare provider
-
Does not create a patient-provider relationship between you and Minneapolis Genetics
-
Should not be relied on to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about any health condition
Genetic counseling is highly individualized. Reading an article about NIPT, carrier screening, or PGT does not replace a conversation with a genetic counselor about your specific situation, family history, and goals.
If you have a clinical question, please book an appointment or talk to your OB-GYN, midwife, primary care provider, or another qualified clinician.
In an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
4. When the patient relationship begins
A patient-provider relationship between you and Minneapolis Genetics begins only when:
-
You book a paid appointment, and
-
You complete intake forms and sign required patient agreements (including the Notice of Privacy Practices and Telehealth Informed Consent)
Until those steps are complete, you are a website visitor, not a patient. Submitting a contact form, sending an email, reading an article, or browsing the site does not establish a patient relationship.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Site lawfully and respectfully. You will not:
-
Copy, reproduce, or republish content from the Site for commercial purposes without our written permission
-
Scrape, harvest, or use automated tools (bots, crawlers) to extract content, except for standard search engine indexing
-
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, our systems, or other users' information

-

-

Warranties that any information on the Site is complete, accurate, current, or reliable
The Site may experience downtime, technical issues, or content updates. Information on the Site, including pricing, availability, articles, and FAQ, may change without notice.
Genetic counseling outcomes are inherently uncertain. No information on this Site is a guarantee of any particular result from genetic testing or counseling.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Minneapolis Genetics, PLLC, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall our total liability arising out of or related to your use of the Site exceed $100 USD or the amount you paid us for services in the six months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
This limitation does not apply to:
-
Liability for clinical services rendered (which is governed by your patient agreements and applicable healthcare law)
-
Any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, in which case these limits may not apply to you)
-
Gross negligence or intentional misconduct
12. Indemnification

This obligation survives termination of these Terms.
13. Termination

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

You and Minneapolis Genetics agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration, except that either party may bring an individual action in small claims court. You waive the right to participate in a class action.
Patient claims
Disputes related to clinical care are governed by applicable healthcare law and your signed patient agreements, not by this section.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made.
For material changes, we will post a prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, please stop using the Site.

No waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
